DIY Patch Jean Jacket

I got to create a DIY patch jean jacket party for Camp Crafty last weekend, and we had such a blast. I love seeing everyone celebrate their choices at our station parties like this. There’s always a little girl happy with her choices, pointing with her finger to show us what we need to do assuredly. They inspire me to be bold myself!

We were doing a girly, Barbie theme for the party so I got lots of cute iron-on patches that were retro and fun. I haven’t had this much fun looking for supplies since we started our DIY beaded sunglasses.

We brought along these heat press irons to be able to add them on while we were on-site, but now that I’ve used them I love them for really precise, hot, smooth ironing. Totally worth the investment.

We kept a stopwatch app on our phones out and did about a minute of pressing per patch, which seemed to do the trick. Steady heat and then making sure that gets on every little part of the patch.

The real show stopper at the party, though, were the gemssss!! I had the best time punching up everyone’s patched jackets with a nice smattering of bling. Now that I’m hooked on this HotFix Bedazzle Gun, I am investing in the studs and stars for all the embellishments!

They each turned out SO unique and cute. I totally lost my mind! These DIY patch jean jackets are amazing.

Everyone loved wearing them right away which made it extra fun.

I couldn’t stop when I got home. I love the extra patches on this Target Valentine’s sweatshirt. Neil Young girls know!

I really needed my own off duty look to be totally on brand though. 🙂 I love the patches on these $7 sweatpants.
