Whether it’s driving with kids from Texas to Colorado or staying at the TWA hotel with kids and dogs, I’m starting to get used to the idea that it’s just as easy sometimes if we all go together. I loved breaking up our drive to Kentucky with an overnight in Memphis! Our Memphis’ Central Station Hotel review is perfect if you’re a gal on the go like me with kids, dogs or both! Lucky you. 🙂
Memphis Central Station Hotel Review
This hotel is so vibey, which I personally love with traveling with the group. I try to travel as a pack on the road, and it’s helpful to be somewhere that’s got some things going on. That way, after a day on the road we can always just enjoy our spot for the night before getting our rest.
Central Station Hotel doesn’t disappoint at all, with lots of little corners to tuck into and get your steps exploring.
Everything inspires, from the art on the wall to the built in 3,500 piece vinyl collection that’s DJed from the lobby and streamed through the building, including into your room if you wish!
It’s so interesting of a concept that I didn’t quite get it until we were there, but you can hear the jams pumping through the lobby and how it sets the tone below.
The beds were phenom to all four of us weary travelers, who all went to bed immediately upon lights out and slept in quite a bit as well.
Things to Do with Kids in Memphis
One of the nicest parts of the hotel was how easy it was to step out and explore Memphis!
The adventures start in the Central Station Hotel itself, which is also an Amtrak station.
Immediately outside the hotel is the Memphis trolley which will take you through downtown for just a dollar.
After a long walk exploring Beale Street and the National Civil Rights Museum, I had Memphis ribs delivered to the hotel where the Dependents enjoyed it on one of the hotel’s cute patios.
Is the Memphis Central Station Hotel pet friendly?
The friendliest part of our trip was the delightful staff at Central Station Hotel! We had more help than we needed and friendly faces around every corner.
